12 Days of Small Business: Deborah Osborne, Athena Agreements
Small Business has its challenges, especially in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, we all have to do our part to support each other and the small businesses with which we are connected. So, W3 Consulting is promoting small businesses through our campaign, 12 Days of Small Business. We hope to highlight each day a small business (or two) that can benefit from visibility and that will benefit our audience.
Over the years I’ve become acquainted with Deborah Osborne of Athena Agreements, I’m always confident in her diligence and extraordinary compassion. These two qualities are so important when you need a third party to mediate toward a resolution, whether that be between two companies, two nations, or two people. Deborah has the expertise, experience and temperament to bring people together toward positive outcomes, so she’s a great person to have in your contacts when conflict arises.

How is your Small Business unique, different in your industry? What’s your business’s greatest strength/asset today?
I bring parties to agreement in small and large disputes irrespective of the number of them. I have two decades of experience and mediated over 500 commercial and interpersonal disputes with an 85 percent success rate. Keeping parties out of court and teaching them the tools on how to negotiate win-wins and prevent and manage conflict on their own is my bailiwick. My goal is to move people forward so they thrive in their business and partnerships.
What is your greatest challenge as a Small Business owner? How are you working to overcome that challenge in 2021?
Ensure I reach clients that need my services and meet all their interests in a virtual and digital setting until normalcy resumes post-pandemic and I am poised to meet their interests in-person services post-pandemic if they so choose.
